TransRockies Desert Gravel takes place on Saturday, April 24, 2027, starting from Civic Center Park in downtown Fruita, Colorado, and heading into the high desert along the Colorado-Utah border. Five dinosaur-named courses are offered: Fruitadens (30 miles), Pterodactyl (50), Stegosaurus (75), Triceratops (100) and Utahraptor (125), with the longest climbing roughly 6,500 ft on the published course.
The event used to be called Co2uT. It is now part of the TransRockies Race Series, with local veteran Kevin Kane helping as race director. The field is capped at 1,500 riders, and e-bikes are allowed only on the 30- and 50-mile courses. Entry includes marked courses, stocked aid stations, Zone 4 timing, on-course medical support, a race plate, swag, a T-shirt and a post-race lunch. Pricing is tiered (launch, early bird, regular), and the first 150 women to register receive a 50% discount code to share with another woman.
