The Life Time Leadville Silver Rush 50 MTB returns to Leadville, Colorado on Sunday, July 11, 2027, starting and finishing at the base of the Dutch Henry tubing hill. The 50-mile course packs about 8,000 feet of climbing, mixing technical climbs and fast descents beneath Leadville's 14,000-foot peaks, and a 15-mile option (with a juniors category) runs the same morning.
Silver Rush is a Leadville Trail 100 MTB qualifier, with at least 35 LT100 coins awarded to 50-mile finishers by performance and a post-race drawing. The Silver Rush Challenge pairs the 50-mile trail run on Saturday with the bike race on Sunday for a pickaxe award. Registration opens January 7, 2027; entry is $160 for the 50, $70 for the 15, $215 for a 50-mile tandem and $300 for the Challenge. The 2026 edition was cancelled because of the Willow Fire.
