SBT GRVL presented by Wahoo returns to Steamboat Springs, Colorado on Sunday, June 27, 2027, the centerpiece of a June 25-27 weekend that also includes trail running races at Emerald Mountain. Riders roll out from Yampa Street in downtown Steamboat onto the ranch roads of Routt County on four courses: the 108-mile Black race course (8,189 ft of climbing, about 70% gravel), the 73-mile Blue (5,843 ft), the 53-mile Red (4,198 ft) and the 25-mile Green (1,822 ft), which is the most beginner- and e-bike-friendly option. The 2027 routes largely repeat the 2026 courses, including the Zipp Cow Creek climb and Wahooligan Pass.
The field grows to 3,000 riders for 2027 after Routt County approved an expansion, and entry is by random selection: the general registration window ran October 14-31, 2026, with riders notified on November 5. The Black course has separate Elite Men/Open, Elite Women and amateur starts with a $22,000 purse split evenly between the elite men's and women's fields and a dedicated GRVL Femmes race; Blue and Red now award age-group podiums, and time cutoffs are enforced on Blue and Black. A new SBT DBL BLK challenge pairs Saturday's 20K Black trail run with Sunday's Black course ride.
