The Marji Gesick returns to Michigan's Upper Peninsula September 17-19, 2027, with the 906 Adventure Team's notoriously brutal point-to-point mountain bike race starting in Ishpeming and running through the rocky, rooty singletrack of the Marquette County trail system. Riders choose the MG100 (100 miles) or MG50 (50 miles), each with single-speed and 50+ masters divisions that count toward the National Ultra Endurance (NUE) Series, or the 15-mile Mini-Marji; there is also a 100-mile bike-and-run duathlon and a parallel run event.
Entry is $195 for the 50- and 100-mile races and $150 for the Mini-Marji. Registration opened October 16, 2026 on the new Made UP (TrailReg) platform rather than BikeReg, and every 2027 category, including the 1,707 bike and run places, is already sold out; a transfer marketplace on the registration page is the only way in. Proceeds support 906AT, a non-profit youth cycling and trail organization.
