The Life Time Lutsen 99er returns to Minnesota's North Shore on Saturday, June 26, 2027, starting and finishing at Superior National Golf Course in Lutsen. Riders climb into the Sawtooth Mountains above Lake Superior and then roll through lakes, streams and boreal forest on a mix of gravel, two-track, ATV and snowmobile trail, pavement and singletrack. Four distances are offered: the 99er (96.7 miles, about 5,100 feet of climbing), the 59er, the 45er and the 29er, plus a free Little Niners kids race the day before.
The 99er is a qualifier for the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB, with at least 35 LT100 coins awarded by performance and a post-race drawing. Each distance also has a participation-only recreational route that bypasses the High Climber singletrack (and doubles as the rain course). Registration for 2027 opens December 1, 2026.
