Lazy Llama Gravel Ride, Mounds Oklahoma

Lazy Llama gravel ride is meant for fun, enjoying friends and riding bicycles.

We have great sponsors and a great course. Plus for the faster riders, we have a “Shared Cash Pot”, Simply put, you finish the 110  mile route in 5 hours 30 minutes, you will share in the cash of $2,000. If no one achieves time in 2027, Bixby Bicycles will add $1,000 in 2028

We will offer tent camping and small RV camping on site at Mounds Park.  We will have Prota Johns, not electric or water hook up.

Pancakes and bacon for breakfast and burgers for lunch.

Where: Alt 75 and 14th street, Mounds OK

Finish line:  Enjoy a few hot dogs, cold drinks and lots of friends to enjoy our sport. 

Tent camping available: Porta pots bathroom will be available, no electric or running water / located in Mounds at 14th street on west side of the road next to the park or in the park. It is approved by Mounds City

Entry Fees:

• Standard Entry ($20): Covers 10, 25, 50
• Price will increase to $30 dollars on Monday October 1st
• Cash Pot Entry ($60): Includes race entry and eligibility for the "Cash Pot" (100-mile route only).
  • Price will increase to $70 dollars on Monday October 1st
• No refunds, no transfer to next year. If you pay and don't ride, thank you for the donation
• Self-Sufficiency: Routes are unmarked. Routes will be on Strava only.  Riders must carry their own water and nutrition. We will carry your water to the rest stop.
  • 12-mile route: No rest stop.
  • 25-mile route: No rest stop.
  • 50-mile route: One water stop at the halfway point and at the end. In Beggs OK at the South East corner of HWY 75 Alt and HWY 16.
  • 100-mile route cash riders: One water stop at the halfway point and at the end. In Beggs OK at the South East corner of HWY 75 Alt and HWY 16 and at the corner of HWY75 and 14th street, starting your second lap.
• Course Cut-off: The finish line closes at 1:00 PM. Please plan your pace accordingly.
• Safety: Helmets are mandatory at all times. Use of earbuds is strictly prohibited.
• E bikes: E bikes are welcomed, but can not participate in the “cash pot”, E bikes can not assist in helping riders in the “cash pot”. Any assistance from E bikes will be automatically disqualified.
• Officials will be on course looking for E bike drafting.

"Cash" 100-Mile Route Details

Bixby Bicycles has established a $2,000 Shared Cash Pot 2026.

Eligibility & Payout:

• Requirement: Riders must complete the designated 108-mile "Cash" route with time less than 5 hours 30 minutes. You can work together or bring a team.
• Verification: You must provide proof of your ride via Strava/Garmin data. All data must match the promoter's official route exactly; simply matching the distance is not sufficient. You must ride the route on Strava / Garmin. If you go off course and you don't back track to the original course, you will not be eligible for any “shared cash”, even if you went further than the planned route.
• Validation: A neutral party will verify all routes and times. Payout will be the following week based upon the verification of time and maps.
• Payout: If multiple riders meet the criteria, the $1,000 pot will be shared equally among them. Note: A single rider is capped at a maximum payout of 50% of available cash.
• Rollover: If no riders meet the criteria, the $1,000 pot will roll over to 2027, with an additional $1,000 added, creating a $2,000 pot for 2027. Bixby Bicycles will add $1000 dollars each year up to $5000 dollars 
• Traffic Laws: Obey all traffic laws. It is your responsibility to stop, go, yield or other. 
• No e bikes or help from E bikes or out side source other than riders in the 108 mile category
