The Jackson Forest Grasshopper is round four of the 2027 Grasshopper Adventure Series, held April 10, 2027 in Jackson Demonstration State Forest near Caspar on the Mendocino coast. It is a single 32-mile, fully off-road course with about 4,138 ft of climbing, roughly 15 miles of singletrack and the rest on dirt and gravel forest roads.
There is no short or long option: every rider does the same loop with two aid stations, and the organizer recommends a hardtail or XC mountain bike over a gravel bike. Packet pickup and the podium are at the Caspar Community Center, and the weekend includes Friday shakeout and Sunday social rides.
