Join Mapleworks Coaching at Bretton Woods Recreation Center on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 9–11 AM for a fun introduction to mountain biking for riders 12 and older.
We’ll work on balance, body position, braking, shifting, and turning through simple drills and skills games. Then we’ll put those skills into practice on the trails as riders are ready. Instruction is adapted to each rider’s ability, with an emphasis on building confidence and enjoying the ride. The clinic is led by local coach, racer, and former USA Cycling short track age-group national champion Jared Nieters.
No mountain biking experience is needed, but riders must be able to start, pedal, steer, and stop on their own. Bring a properly sized bike in good working condition, a helmet, closed-toe shoes, gloves (recommended), and water. Dress for the weather.
Please note:
Riders must be at least 12 years old.
A parent or guardian must sign the waiver and stay at the clinic for riders under 18.
Helmets are required at all times on the bike.
Please arrive by 8:45 AM for check-in.
