Back for its fifth year, the Mark Savery Memorial Grand Prix of Cyclocross honors former Masters World Cyclocross Champion Mark Savery, our friend and teammate whom we lost to cancer in 2021. Harvest Racing has adapted and modified a coursed Mark designed for races he promoted at Swanson Park in the 2010's. The venue features power sections and sweeping turns, as well as other sections of technical cornering and a fun chute through the woods.
The race serves as one of Harvest Racing-Trek's primary fundraisers. All proceeds support our junior and U-23 riders: we provide them with free race jerseys and shorts, reimbursed entry fees to local and regional events, and equipment sponsorships. Your entry fees make that support possible.
Expanding to two days of racing allows us to donate a portion of our proceeds to a new NICA scholarship in Mark's name at Omaha NorthStar, a program helmed by Harvest Racer Abbey O'Brien.
Trek Bicycle of Omaha will provide all pre-registred riders with a $20 in-store coupon on race day. Category winners will receive one of the classic Savery rainbow mugs, while podium finishers in all beginner, intermediate, and master's categories will earn great prizes from Trek Bike and Trek Bicycle Stores of Omaha. Elite men and women will be racing for cash.
