Two things that you can refrain from to help ensure COTN's future at New Belgium:
Other things you should know:
1) 18 and Under race free, in Jr Categories and for $20 in any other categories. Enter coupon code COTNJR2026 when you register.
2) Participants are required to have USA Cycling license. For SM 5, SW 5 and junior categories only, USA Cycling 1-day Beginner Licenses ($15) are available for purchase. 1-day licenses are available only to racers who have never held a USAC license with a higher category, Men/Junior Men and Women/Junior Women. USAC 1-Day Experienced license: $35, only available to former USAC members- category 1,2,3,4 men/women, and must be purchased online.
3) Team Tent locations (10'x10', 10'x20', 20'x20') are available at no charge. However, you must make a reservation. NO RESERVATION = NO TENT. Tents may be set up on Friday and left overnight Friday and Saturday, as long as they are properly weighted. We will provide drop-off instructions to registrants prior to race day. No team/club trailers will be allowed in club row.
4) Women entering Men’s Races: Women may enter any men’s race for which they are eligible by age, category, and any performance requirements. They may also enter categorized races for men that are up to one category lower than their women's category. For cyclo-cross events, category 1 women may enter men’s races up to two categories lower.
Master women may compete in men’s masters races as follows:
(i) category 1 and 2 master women may enter men’s events for riders up to 10 years above their racing ages;
(ii) category 3 and 4 master women may enter men’s events for riders up to 20 years above their racing ages.
When registering for Men’s races, especially those in a lower category, you may receive a warning message. Please acknowledge the message and complete the registration.
5) Registration closes Thursday Nov 19, 2025 at 5 p.m. MST. Race Day registration will be $50 per race. Juniors in Jr categories race free even with Race Day registration.
Race day registration and packet pickup close 45 minutes before each race group. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Adding a second race on the same day is only $20.
6) Friday Pre-ride: We will open the course 3pm-4pm on Friday for pre-ride. Pre-riders must sign a pre-ride waiver and follow race staff instructions. Riding without first signing a waiver, or failing to follow race staff instructions, may result in disqualification from the Saturday and/or Sunday races.
7) Callups: Callups will be based on CrossResults.com rankings. Athletes with no CrossResults.com ranking who pre-register will be called up ahead of athletes with no CrossResults.com ranking who do not pre-register.
At the discretion of the chief referee, some waves may be split into separate categories and begin on separate whistles. The decision may be made based on overall safety of athletes (based on quantity of racers in wave), or based on providing more appropriate and equitable competitive playing field for the categories on the course at the same time.
