The event you've always known and loved... just got even better.
Welcome to the next chapter of one of Alabama's favorite gravel traditions. The Dirty Deluxe Dirt Road Century is everything you've come to expect—endless quiet dirt roads, Southern hospitality, and an unforgettable day on the bike—but with an exciting new home and an even bigger finish-line celebration.
For 2027, we're moving the start and finish to Historic Downtown Opelika, where race day will kick off with the energy of a community festival. Riders and spectators can enjoy local food trucks, craft beer from Red Clay Brewing Co., handcrafted cocktails from John Emerald Distillery, live music, vendors, and a vibrant downtown atmosphere before and after the ride.
Once you're out on course, it's still the Dirty Deluxe you know and love. We'll feature a 30, 60 and 100-ish mile route that showcases the best red clay roads, rolling countryside, and scenic backroads East Alabama has to offer. Along the way, expect the same welcoming volunteers, well-stocked aid stations, and the laid-back, grassroots feel that's made this event a favorite for over a decade.
We've also added a few fun new awards, expanded post-race festivities, and several surprises we'll be announcing as race weekend approaches.
To preserve the rider experience, registration will once again be limited to 350 participants. When it's full, it's full—so don't wait to claim your spot.
The Dirty Deluxe Dirt Road Century is proudly produced by James Bros. Bikes, with proceeds benefiting the Alabama Animal Rescue Resource Foundation (AARRF).
The Alabama Animal Rescue Resource Foundation (AARRF) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by the owners of James Bros. Bikes after encountering countless abandoned dogs while riding Alabama's backroads.
AARRF exists to support the small, privately operated rescue organizations that work tirelessly to provide sanctuary, medical care, rehabilitation, adoption, and transportation for neglected and abandoned animals throughout Alabama. These rescues fill a critical gap in a state where animal welfare resources are often limited and many county shelter systems remain overwhelmed.
Every dollar generated through the Dirty Deluxe Dirt Road Century helps AARRF continue its mission of supporting these rescue partners and giving discarded animals a second chance.
When you register, you're not only signing up for an incredible day on some of the best gravel roads in the Southeast—you’re helping change lives, both on two wheels and four paws.
