Cyclocross Series Points System Official Scoring & Standings Rules for a 6-Race Series 

1. Series Overview: This scoring system provides a clear, competitive structure for a 6-race cyclocross series. It features a 25-point scale for the top-10 finishers, giving higher weight to podium positions while rewarding consistency down through 10th place. 

2. Per-Race Points Scale Placement Points Awarded;

 1st Place 25 pts, 2nd Place 20 pts, 3rd Place 16 pts, 4th Place 13 pts, 5th Place 10 pts, 6th Place 8 pts, 7th Place 6 pts, 8th Place 4 pts, 9th Place 2 pts, 10th Place 1 pt.

3. Series Rules & Regulations 

Best 5 out of 6 Races Count: Each rider's single lowest score (or missed race) is automatically dropped at the end of the series. This keeps standings competitive even if a rider experiences a mechanical failure, illness, or unavoidable absence.  Tiebreaker Protocol: If two or more riders are tied on total points after Race 6, ties will be resolved using the following hierarchy: 

1. Most 1st-place finishes in the series. 

2. Most 2nd-place finishes, 3rd-place finishes, etc. 

3. Higher finish position in the final race of the series (Race 6).
